Who we are
Do You Love Me Ministries exists to advance God’s kingdom through honest gospel witness and to equip men and women to deny the flesh by the power of God’s word. Inspired by Jesus’ words to Peter in John 21, the ministry focuses on “catching fish” through evangelism and “feeding sheep” through biblical teaching and discipleship.
The ministry was founded by Garrett Wilkerson, a man whose life was radically transformed by the grace of God. Although Garrett was raised in a Christian home and attended church regularly, he never experienced a clear moment of repentance or a true heart conversion. As he entered high school, he gradually drifted from faith and became deeply entangled in the pleasures of the world.
From the age of 16 into his late twenties, Garrett lived a life marked by addiction, brokenness, and spiritual emptiness. While there were seasons of sobriety and attempts at recovery, nothing produced lasting change. During a two-year stay in a church-based recovery program in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Garrett was introduced to the Bible in a more serious way. Though he remained clean during that time, the spiritual transformation he needed had not yet taken place, and his life eventually spiraled again.
Everything changed the night he was rushed to Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. Garrett had overdosed and arrived at the hospital with no pulse and no breath. By His grace and through the skill of the medical team, God saved his life. Though this was not yet his salvation, it was a defining moment in God’s pursuit of him.
In the years that followed, Garrett was blessed with his daughter Austyn in March of 2022, but sin and its consequences continued to cause devastation. About eighteen months later, his life again fell into crisis. On November 7th 2024, through a series of seemingly small but weighty events, God broke through the hardness of his heart. The Holy Spirit convicted him of sin, illuminated the truth of Scripture, and opened his eyes to the gospel. Garrett cried out to God in repentance, surrendering fully to Jesus Christ and trusting in Him as Lord and Savior. He came to understand what it truly meant to be bought with a price.
Since that moment, Garrett’s life has been radically changed. He has enrolled in seminary, committed himself to daily Bible study, and entered into discipleship relationships with pastors and leaders in his church. He has also begun discipling others that God has brought into his path. God has continued to sanctify him, removing old strongholds and renewing his mind with Scripture. The command of 1 Peter 1:16—“Be holy, for I am holy”—has become a central call in his walk.
Do You Love Me Ministries was born out of this testimony. Through it, Garrett Wilkerson seeks to reach the lost and feed the flock with biblical truth. To all who are weary, wandering, or wondering where they stand with God, Jesus still asks the same question:
“Do you love Me?”
